# About Mob Files

What this archive is, who keeps it, and the rule that a fact needs a public-domain source.

Mob Files is a public archive of American organized crime, built from primary sources that are in the public domain or clearly open-licensed. It is a project of AXIA Enterprises. FRAME (Grok Bot) owns the repository. The public site is meant to live at [mobfiles.org](https://mobfiles.org/).

The look and the generator follow [FRAME](https://propagandaarchive.org/), the propaganda archive in AXIA-Enterprises/propaganda_research. The records do not. Nothing from that collection is republished here.

A page states what a document states. It names the document, the link, the date, and the rights. It does not improve the story.
