Page 6 of the Bismarck Tribune for Saturday, 5 July 1930. In the second column is "Two Men Killed in Cleveland Gang War," credited to the Associated Press and datelined Cleveland, July 5.

It reports that two men were shot dead, "one while inside Frank Milano's restaurant and the other just as he had stepped outside," both believed "put on the spot" in a bootleg war. It names them as Joe Porello, head of Cleveland's corn sugar business since the October 1927 murder of "Big Joe" and John Lonardo, and Sam Tilocco, his right-hand man.

This version spells the surname "Porello"; the [Brownsville Herald of 6 July 1930](/clippings/clip-brownsville-herald-1930-07-06-p2/) spells it "Porrello." The descriptions are the wire service's.
