A short Day Book item of 6 May 1912 reports two killings in Chicago the previous day and says police attributed both to the 'Black Hand', without naming anyone.

Page 28 of the Day Book, Monday, 6 May 1912. A short item reports that two men were killed in Chicago the day before: one was found on the Illinois Central tracks at 15th Street by three fishermen, and the other was shot at a birthday gathering. It says police blamed both killings on the "Black Hand."

The attribution is the police theory as the paper rewrote it. The item names no suspect and reports no arrest, and nothing filed here connects the two deaths to each other or to any organisation. The item prints home addresses, which are not reproduced here.
