Page 2 continuation of the Evening Star's 15 February 1929 Associated Press story: the coroner's jury views the garage, the address is printed again, and the seven dead are named as police described them.

Page 2 of the Evening Star, 15 February 1929, carrying the continuation of the front-page Associated Press story under the headline "POLICE EXECUTED 7, DRY AGENT THINKS" and the deck "Blames Chicago Massacre on Stopping of Protection Payments." The Library of Congress OCR drops the figure 7 from the headline; it is legible on the page image.

The continuation reports that the coroner's jury, "with Bert A. Massee, manufacturer, as foreman," viewed the bodies at a police station and then the garage, and that Dr. Herman N. Bundesen, the coroner, reported on the autopsies. It places the shooting at "the S. M. C. Cartage Co garage at 2122 North Clark street about 10:45 a.m. yesterday." It reports that Frank Gusenberg did not say who shot him before he died at Alexian Brothers Hospital, and it names the dead as police described them: Peter and Frank Gusenberg, James Clark, Dr. R. H. Schwimmer, an optometrist, Alfred Weinshank, John May and Adam Heyers.

The descriptions of the dead men's records are police statements printed by the paper. This archive takes from the page the address, the time, and the convening of the coroner's jury.
