The first part of the text is "Continued From First Page" and ends with the line "(Copyright, 1931, by North American Newspaper Alliance, Inc.)"; the second part, "SPEEDY HEARING SOUGHT," is datelined Chicago, June 6, with the Associated Press symbol.

The syndicate account describes how federal agents traced a series of bank accounts in Cicero, checks from saloon keepers, and telegraph remittances, and quotes Chief Agent Madden that the agents "talked to more than a thousand persons." The Associated Press report says "Federal District Attorney George E. Q. Johnson said he had appointed Samuel Clawson, Jacob I. Grossman and Dwight H. Green, his assistants, to prosecute the case before Judge John P. Barnes," that Capone "posted a $50,000 bond and was released," and that "There were two indictments, one was returned yesterday. Another was voted March 16, but was suppressed."
