An Associated Press dispatch of 14 March, with the paper's own approving headline, on the killing of eleven prisoners and the coroner's inquest; the text is the same account the Indianapolis Journal printed.

The Richmond Dispatch prints the Associated Press account of 14 March under the headline "A Terrible Resort. Eleven of the New Orleans Sicilian Suspects Lynched. Citizen Executioners," with a further deck "The Mafia Must Go" and subheads on the executed Italians, their wounds and the coroner's inquest. The text is the same account the Indianapolis Journal printed, calling the crowd "a sullen, determined body of citizens" and saying the trial had lasted twenty-five days.

The headline is the paper's own and approves of the killings; it is quoted for the record and not endorsed. It was read from the OCR with minor errors.
