A New Orleans dispatch of 12 March reports the closing arguments in the Hennessy trial and an outburst by the prisoner Politz in the courtroom.

The Times of Richmond prints a New Orleans dispatch of 12 March reporting the closing arguments in the trial. Judge Evans concluded for the prosecution, and Mr. Flynn spoke for the prisoner Politz, noting that Politz was clean-shaven on the night of the killing. Politz then clapped his hands and tried to leave the courtroom and was restrained by a deputy.

Only the opening of the item was read closely. Politz is Manuel Polizzi in other papers, and "Manuel Politz" in the State Department's list of December 1890. The page reports the arguments; it does not report a verdict, which came the next day.
