An International News Service item of 14 October repeating that the brothers Joseph and John Lonardo, described as sugar dealers who supplied bootleggers, were killed in a Cleveland barber shop, and that Joe 'is said to have kept a bodyguard'.

Page 16 of the Mishawaka News Events section of the South Bend News-Times, morning edition, Saturday, 15 October 1927 (image 38 in the Library of Congress viewer). In the third column is "Cleveland Police Probe Double Bootleg Murder," credited to the International News Service and datelined Cleveland, October 14.

It repeats the dispatch printed the day before in the Washington Times: Joseph and John Lonardo, brothers, were murdered in a barber shop; they were sugar dealers who supplied bootleggers with sugar; and Joe "is said to have kept a bodyguard on most occasions."

The account is the wire service's. This archive files it as a second printing of the same dispatch, not as an independent source.
