District court sentencing opinion of July 15, 1993 in the Ferriola Street Crew racketeering case, discussing Rocco Infelise's role before and after Joseph Ferriola's death in 1989.

United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division; memorandum opinion and order of District Judge Ann Claire Williams, July 15, 1993.

The opinion follows the jury's verdict of March 10, 1992 in a five-defendant trial and resolves sentencing questions. On the leadership enhancement for Rocco Infelise, the court writes that "the evidence clearly demonstrates that Infelise provided leadership to the Ferriola Street Crew prior to Ferriola's death and, as he concedes, he ran the crew after Ferriola's death in 1989," and that "the fact that Infelise was Ferriola's right-hand man hardly diminishes his role as an organizer and leader of the crew."

The opinion gives the year of Ferriola's death and no other detail of it.
