Canonical: https://mobfiles.org/items/fbi-roger-touhy-mug-shot-record/

Mug shot of Roger Touhy with part of his criminal record, published by the FBI on its Touhy history page. The FBI serves the image; no copy is stored here.

The FBI image repository titles this entry "Roger "The Terrible" Touhy Mug Shot and Criminal Record" and captions it: "Mug shot and partial criminal record of Roger "The Terrible" Touhy. Touhy and his gang of violent criminals escaped from a penitentiary in Illinois in October 1942." It appears on the FBI's Touhy history page and on its Chicago field-office history. The repository lists the file at 4,060 KB.

The FBI does not say when the photograph was taken or by which agency. The record sheet in the image is an identification record; this page does not transcribe its entries.

The image was downloaded from the FBI image repository on 12 October 2026 but is not stored here: the record is an Illinois State Penitentiary (Joliet) identification card, a state record rather than a federal one, so the page keeps a document plate until the owner rules on it. The FBI serves the image at the URL above.
