A Milwaukee field-office report filed in the Vault's Balistrieri file. Its synopsis says he "continues to operate the Roosevelt Hotel" and other Milwaukee night spots, and that an informant called him the "top man" in the city's "Italian-American element."

Part 01 of the FBI Vault's "Frank Balistrieri" file, scan 146 in the viewer. The page is the first page of a Bureau report form: reporting office and office of origin Milwaukee, dated 6-20-58, report made by Special Agent James E. McArdle, title of case "Frank Peter Balistrieri." The copy is marked for the Bureau file 92-3116. This page was filed from the OCR text; the page image of scan 146 is now stored here.

The synopsis, as far as the OCR can be read, says: "BALISTRIERI continues to operate the Roosevelt Hotel in which the Melody Room and Oasis Bar are located; also operates the Downtowner, a night spot, at 4th and Wells, Milwaukee." It says that although not the licensee he is active in managing two other bars. It continues: "Informant advises BALISTRIERI is 'top man' in Italian-American element, Milwaukee." It also records that he attended the National Toy Show in New York in March 1958 "as a representative of Atomic Sales Inc. which corporation has been formed to market a plastic bubble gun."

"Top man" is an unnamed informant's phrase, as the Bureau recorded it. It is not a finding, and the report names no organization. The other pages of Part 01 are heavily redacted and are not summarized here.
