Summaries from September 13, 1960, when an informant reported Humphreys with Frank Ferraro, Ross Prio and others, through reports of January 1961; they also record his May 23, 1960 trip to Washington and a visit to an Illinois congressman's office.

Summaries running from September 13, 1960 through reports dated January 11, 17 and 24, 1961 (Chicago file 92-348). On September 13, 1960 (p. 80), an informant reported a conversation joined by "Chicago top hoodlum FRANK FERRARO and former Chicago top hoodlums ROSS PRIO and RALPH PIERCE." In the transcript lines that follow, the FBI annotates one remark of Ferraro's as "(apparently going over the jurors list)" and one of Pierce's, "They're going to pick 14," as "(members of the jury)." Accardo's income-tax trial was then under way; the FBI's 1961 inquiry into whether his jurors were approached is filed as [Part 12](/items/fbi-vault-humphreys-p12-accardo-jury-inquiry-1961/), and found no approach.

Pages 2-3 report a May 23, 1960 trip to Washington, during which agents saw Humphreys leave the office of an Illinois congressman and visit hotel bars with an associate who, the report notes, had served time with Jack Guzik at Lewisburg. Page 7 refers to him by the nickname "The Camel."

The report records where agents saw him go; it does not say what was discussed in the congressman's office, and this archive draws nothing from the visit. Part 06 is 132 pages; only the cited pages were read closely. This archive read the page through the Vault viewer's OCR text layer. The scans are poor; names, dates and figures can be garbled, and many names are redacted under FOIA exemptions (b6, b7C, b7D).
