Daily-summary teletypes stamped August 27, 1964 and after, citing a 'highly confidential source', report arrangements at the funeral home 'where Frank Ferraro is being laid out', and say Humphreys stayed away from the wake and funeral to avoid being photographed.

Daily-summary teletypes from Chicago to the Director, stamped AUG 27 1964 and after (one carries a deferred-send line of 8-25-64), report on the death of Frank Ferraro. One says arrangements were made with a funeral home "WHERE FRANK FERRARO IS BEING LAID OUT," and that Ross Prio and others attended. Another says Humphreys did not attend the wake or the funeral so as to avoid being photographed, and that Giancana had ordered associates to stay away from the wake. Other teletypes in the part cover Humphreys's meetings with Ralph Pierce at a downtown hotel.

The summaries cite a "highly confidential source" and use paraphrase to protect it. The account of the wake is that source's, relayed by the FBI, and is not otherwise verified. The teletypes give no date of death; the month comes from their date stamps. This archive read the page through the Vault viewer's OCR text layer. The scans are poor; names, dates and figures can be garbled, and many names are redacted under FOIA exemptions (b6, b7C, b7D).

These teletypes also relay private details about people outside the public record, so no page image is stored and those details are not repeated; the page shows a document plate.
