A Brooklyn-Queens memorandum headed "Bonanno LCN Family" reporting a confidential source's account of a meeting on February 23, 1981. It lists those present with an FBI label for each, among them Philip Giaccone and Dominick Trinchera as "Capo."

Viewer pages 102 and 103 of the FBI Vault's Dominick Trinchera file. The memorandum is to the SAC, Brooklyn-Queens (92A-9280), from a redacted special agent, dated February 27, 1981, subject "Bonanno LCN Family." It reads: "On 2/23/81, a confidential source advised that" and then a redaction; the place and purpose of the meeting are not given. "Present at this meeting were the following individuals."

On page 102 the list reads, from the page image: Philip Giaccone, "Capo, Bonanno LCN Family"; a second man listed as "Capo, Bonanno LCN Family"; Cesare Bonventre, "Capo, Bonanno LCN Family"; a redacted entry; and Salvatore Catalano, "Boss, Bonanno LCN Family." Page 103 continues with Dominick Trinchera, "Capo, Bonanno LCN Family," a man listed as an associate, and Angelo Ruggiero, listed as a soldier of the Gambino family. The two men who appear in no court record filed here are not named on this page. It ends by saying that the "Confidential source did not know the reason for this" meeting.

The labels are the FBI's in February 1981, from one source. They conflict with other records: the June 1981 GENUS teletype redacts the position it gives Catalano, and the Commission-case opinions describe the family's leadership differently. They are quoted here and are not charted. Page 103 also prints dates of birth and a residence, which are left out.
