The operating director of the Crime Commission of Greater Miami presents charts on gambling in Dade and Broward counties and Miami Beach hotels, placing the Colonial Inn, Club Greenacres and Club Boheme and naming the 'S. & G. Syndicate' as a bookmaking group. Pp. 152-174.

Daniel P. Sullivan, operating director of the Crime Commission of Greater Miami, testified at Miami on 13 July 1950 (pp. 152-174 of Part 1, key passages at pp. 153-157 and 167). He presented charts on gambling in Dade and Broward counties and on Miami Beach hotels, and placed the Colonial Inn, Club Greenacres and Club Boheme as "the three principal gambling operations in Broward County," near Hallandale Beach Road. He is a different person from Dade County sheriff James A. Sullivan, who also testified in Part 1.

At p. 154 he said the Colonial Inn property was formerly owned by Jake Lansky and that its gambling "was controlled by Jake Lansky and his brother, Meyer Lansky," with Joe Adonis, Vincent Alo, Frank Erickson and others. He said it stopped gambling after an injunction in spring 1948 and has "since been run as a dance hall or night club." At pp. 155-157 he gave a history of the Wofford Hotel, and at p. 167 he named the "S. & G. Syndicate" as the controlling Miami Beach bookmaking group.

His statements are his account of the committee investigators' charts (exhibits 108-110, appendix pp. 740-742). They are assertions by a witness, not findings. A 1957 FBI report states that a Broward County grand jury indicted twenty-two people on 24 August 1950; the outcome is not stated in the pages filed.
