Aiuppa refused on constitutional grounds every question, including whether he was a partner with Claude Maddox and others in Taylor & Company, which counsel said made gambling equipment. The content is in counsel's questions.

Joseph Aiuppa, of Cicero, testified on 19 January 1951 (Part 5, pp. 1371-1375). He refused, on constitutional grounds, to answer questions including his age and whether he had a place in Wisconsin.

Counsel asked whether he was a partner with R. J. Anselone, Claude Maddox (spelled "Maddocks" in the question; alias John "Screwy" Moore), Harry Milner and Ray Johnston in Taylor & Company, which counsel said manufactured gambling equipment. Aiuppa refused. Near the end of the session (pp. 1375-1378) counsel said that Maddox had "a very large or long criminal record," was the senior partner in Taylor & Co., and had "tie-ins, I believe, with the St. Louis mob."

All of the content about the firm and its partners is in counsel's questions and statements, not in Aiuppa's answers. The Senate's contempt report on his refusals is filed separately.
