Printed hearings of the Senate Special Committee to Investigate Organized Crime in Interstate Commerce, Part 12, Treasury, Justice, and miscellaneous witnesses: sessions in Washington, July 1950 to March 1951.

The title page reads "Investigation of Organized Crime in Interstate Commerce. Hearings before a Special Committee to Investigate Organized Crime in Interstate Commerce, United States Senate", and this volume is Part 12, headed "U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. Department of Justice, federal and state officials, miscellaneous witnesses". The dates printed on the title page are July 11, 1950; February 16, 17, 20; March 9, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 1951. The volume belongs to the 81st Congress, 2d session, and 82d Congress, 1st session. It is part of the printed record of the committee created by Senate Resolution 202 (81st Congress), the Kefauver Committee, and prints sworn testimony, a contents list of witnesses with page numbers, and a schedule of exhibits. The Internet Archive scan has 798 page images.

The session datelines place the hearings in Washington. The session lines print these rooms and buildings:

- District of Columbia Committee Room, the Capitol
- Room 104-B, room 155, room 248, room 318 and the caucus room, Senate Office Building
- Rooms G-16, P-36 and P-38, United States Capitol

The contents page lists, among the witnesses, Hoover, Hon. J. Edgar; McGrath, Hon. J. Howard; Guzik, Jacob; Zwillman, Abner; Kleinman, Morris; Rothkopf, Louis; Carroll, James J.; Croft, John; Doyle, John; O'Brien, William G.; Caudle, Theron Lamar; Anslinger, Harry J.; Leibowitz, Hon. Samuel S.; Coy, Hon. Wayne; Foley, Hon. Edward H.; Brink, James H.. The names follow the contents page; spelling was corrected only where the OCR was plainly wrong. A list of witnesses is not a list of findings: the volume prints questions and answers, and this archive does not summarize them.

Per the contempt reports, the March 1951 Washington sessions include Jacob Guzik (March 22, caucus room), Morris Kleinman and Louis Rothkopf (March 26), William G. O'Brien (March 27) and John Croft (March 29). Each was later the subject of a contempt report; they appeared under warrants that followed Senate Report 83.

The archive.org copy is a Boston Public Library scan of the Government Printing Office print, and the Internet Archive marks it not in copyright. The room lines and datelines above were read from the archive's OCR text of the scan.
