Canonical: https://mobfiles.org/items/loc-2016838132-stutz-wreck-bootleggers-1924/

Library of Congress National Photo Company photograph of a wrecked Stutz automobile with several people standing around it. The description of the occupants as bootleggers rests on the title alone.

The Library of Congress title is "Wreck of Stutz car with bootleggers, 7/29/24." The photograph shows a wrecked automobile with several people standing around it; the record has no further caption and names no place or person. The statement that the occupants were bootleggers rests on that title, which is unverified National Photo Company data, and nothing else in the record supports it.

The copy stored here is the Library of Congress service JPEG.
