Library of Congress National Photo Company photograph, taken in what appears to be a test tank, of a small model boat that the title calls a model of a rum-runner chaser at the Navy Yard.

The Library of Congress title is "Model of rum runner chaser at Navy Yard, [Washington, D.C.], 12/29/24." The photograph shows a man kneeling on a platform beside a small model boat in the water, with a second man on the overhead carriage. The setting appears to be a test tank; the record has no further description. The title is unverified company data.

The Coast Guard article filed here, by the Coast Guard Historian's Office, describes the service's fleet expansion beginning in 1924; the photograph does not name the Coast Guard. The copy stored here is the Library of Congress service JPEG.
