Carbon of a 'Personal & Confidential' letter from U.S. Attorney George E. Q. Johnson to Assistant Attorney General G. A. Youngquist asking to move their meeting earlier.

A typed carbon, marked "Personal & Confidential," from George E. Q. Johnson, United States Attorney at Chicago, to Assistant Attorney General G. A. Youngquist in Washington, dated 6 May 1931. Johnson asks to move their meeting earlier because the Attorney General would attend a cabinet meeting.

The catalog describes the meeting as one to discuss the case against Al Capone. The letter itself does not name Capone. The catalog description calls Johnson "U.S. Attorney General"; that is an error in the catalog. He was the United States Attorney, and the letter is signed that way.
