# A Milwaukee brewery readies for the end of Prohibition (catalog date 1930)

Canonical: https://mobfiles.org/items/nara-16647183-milwaukee-brewery-repeal/

A New York Times Paris Bureau photograph of a brewhouse with a row of large domed kettles. The catalog title says a Milwaukee brewery had improved its facilities to get ready for the end of Prohibition.

The National Archives catalog title is "A Brewery in Milwaukee Made Improvements to its Facilities to Get Ready for the End of Prohibition." Local identifier 306-NT-545-9. The catalog's production date is 1930, given as a year only; repeal came at the end of 1933, so the year may refer to the negative rather than to the moment the title describes, and this page does not resolve it.

The picture shows a brewhouse interior with a row of large domed kettles under big curved vent pipes, with stairs, railings and a few workmen.

The catalog does not name the brewery, and this page does not.
