# "Various Views of John Dillinger": FBI composite of nine photographs

Canonical: https://mobfiles.org/items/nara-176251172-dillinger-various-views/

An undated FBI photographic composite of nine views of John Dillinger's face, held by the National Archives in the FBI's records. A copy is stored here.

The National Archives titles this print "Various Views of John Dillinger." It sits in the FBI's series of miscellaneous photographs and carries no date and no photographer's name. The print mounts nine head-and-shoulders photographs, five above and four below, from different angles and evidently from different dates. One shows him with a mustache.

The research for this archive notes that the same composite appears on the FBI's Dillinger history page, captioned there as nine images showing his face "as it changed over the years." Neither the catalog nor the FBI identifies the source or date of each picture, and this page does not assign any.
