Capias issued by the federal court at Hammond on 11 June 1934 commanding the marshal to bring John Dillinger, with six aliases, to answer an indictment for motor theft, bail $25,000. The National Archives notes it was never served. A copy is stored here.

The page is a printed capias form, "District Court of the United States, Northern District of Indiana, Hammond Division," addressed to the Marshal. The typed entries command him to apprehend "John Dillinger, alias John Hall, alias John Donovan Hall, alias Clarence Cruse, alias Joseph J. Harris, alias J. H. Donovan, alias Kirtly (address unknown)," and have him before the court at Hammond on the first Monday of November 1934 "to answer unto an Indictment for vio: Motor Theft." Bail is set at "Twenty-five thousand Dollars ($25,000.00)." It is witnessed by Judge Thomas W. Slick and dated "this the 11th day of June, A. D. 1934," with a deputy clerk's signature.

The National Archives' note says the warrant was issued "for the apprehension of John Dillinger for auto theft in Crown Point, Indiana." The case file's own note adds that the case was dismissed when he was killed in Chicago on July 22, 1934. The aliases on the form are the court's list and are given here as printed.
