Release of June 9, 2011. It announces an indictment of Eugene Klein, a former chaplain with the federal Bureau of Prisons, accused of passing messages for Frank Calabrese, Sr. and of trying to move a violin from Calabrese's former Wisconsin residence so that it would not be seized toward a $4.4 million restitution judgment.

The release states that Calabrese was serving a life sentence at the federal medical center in Springfield, Missouri, and had been under Special Administrative Measures since November 2008.

The charges against the chaplain are allegations in an indictment, not findings; this page records only what the release says about the case and about Calabrese's sentence and custody. The life sentence itself is recorded in [United States v. Schiro](/items/courtlistener-us-v-schiro-679-f3d-521/) (7th Cir. 2012).
