# Anthony Joseph Giacalone

Subject of a Detroit FBI anti-racketeering file opened in December 1957; the FBI history says Canadian authorities arrested him on racketeering charges in 1966, and an FBI affidavit printed by the Sixth Circuit says James R. Hoffa told witnesses he was going to meet him on 30 July 1975.

The birth date is the one the FBI's 1958 report gives ("born 1/10/19, Detroit, Mich."). No role or family is set: the 1958 report's words are the Bureau's characterization from informants, and the history page's "prominent members of the mob" is a description, not a rank stated by a court. The 1951 Kefauver transcript prints "Tony and Bill Giacolone" on a dance committee; no filed record says they are the Giacalones of the later records. The outcome of his 1970s tax case is known in the Vault file only from uncleared clippings and is not stated here.
