# Carlo Gambino

Named in 1963 by Valachi and by New York police as boss of the family that bears his name, after Anastasia's death. A 1962 FBI report relays an informant who called him a "boss." He was taken from the Apalachin roadblock in 1957.

The birth year is from Shanley's testimony: "He was born in 1902." No opened record gives his death; it is expected in later parts of his FBI file, which were not read. Part 01 has poor OCR and nothing is taken from it.
