# David Robinson

A defendant convicted in 1924 in the federal case over the 1923 Staunton, Illinois mail robbery and sentenced to 25 years, named in the indictment as David Robinson, alias "Chippy" Robinson.

No photograph of Robinson from this case has been found. The records state no role for him. A 1950 Senate committee exhibit names a "David (Chippy) Robinson" in an entry about a later St. Louis killing; it does not connect him to this case, and the entry is not used here.
