Alcatraz register no. 139. The warden's notebook page records receipt from Leavenworth on 4 September 1934 under a life sentence for kidnapping and holding for ransom, and a transfer back on 8 September 1946.

The National Archives lists Bailey at register number 139. His notebook page prints the birth date 8/23/87, which matches the catalog's 08/23/1887. The case file, about 2,000 pages, is described in the catalog but is not digitized. The role and family fields are left empty because no record cited here states either. Offenses are given as the notebook form prints them; the "Reason for Transfer" boxes are staff opinion and are not used.
