# Joseph Zerilli

Named in 1951 Kefauver testimony as a partner with William Tocco in the State Products Co., described in a 1958 McClellan Committee list as an associate of Pete Licavoli, and named in 1963, by a newspaper account the FBI summarized, among five Detroit 'dons'.

The family and role fields are empty because no record filed here states a role for Joseph Zerilli in its own voice. The committee list and the investigator's chart describe associations and marriages; Commissioner Edwards's "dons" testimony reaches this archive only as the FBI's summary of a newspaper report. No filed record gives his birth or death.

The Sixth Circuit's 2000 opinion in United States v. Tocco recounts testimony that "defendant Zerilli was the leader before" Jack Tocco. The opinion's first footnote names the Zerilli who was a defendant as Anthony J. Zerilli, so that passage is not attached to this page; it is quoted on the [record of the opinion](/items/courtlistener-us-v-tocco-200-f3d-401/).
