# Nicholas Santora

A defendant in the 1982 Southern District of New York case against Napolitano and Ruggiero. In 2007 the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District announced a superseding indictment that, as the release describes it, charged him as the Bonanno family's "acting underboss."

The verdict in his 1982 trial is reported in the Second Circuit's 1984 affirmance, United States v. Ruggiero, 726 F.2d 913, which is not filed on this page. No record filed here reports how the 2007 charges ended. The "acting underboss" description is the release's account of an allegation; it is not used as a role or on the [Bonanno family chart](/families/bonanno/). The release prints his date of birth, which is left out.
