# Roger Touhy

Canonical: https://mobfiles.org/people/roger-touhy/

Named by the FBI as the leader of a gang that escaped from an Illinois penitentiary in October 1942 and was captured in Chicago on 29 December 1942. A federal draft-registration case against him is at the National Archives.

Filed in the Public Enemies side section. This is not an organized-crime family page: the records here are federal fugitive, court and prison records.

The FBI's photographs of Touhy are filed as records, but no copy could be stored, so this page has no portrait. No birth or death date and no alias is recorded. The FBI's history essay on him is cited by the filed photograph records and was not read for this page.
