# Salvatore Gravano

Charged in 1991 as consigliere of the Gambino family; he pleaded guilty and testified against Gotti and Locascio. The Second Circuit later called him "the former Gambino family underboss" when describing him as a witness.

"Sammy the Bull" is the name Judge Weinstein's 1997 sentencing memorandum uses for him. The two titles, consigliere as charged in 1991 and underboss as the Second Circuit described him in 1999, are recorded side by side.
