Page 2 of the Brownsville Herald for Friday, 14 October 1927. Among the short wire items in the lower left column is one headed “Cleveland Men Slain,” datelined Cleveland, October 14.

It reports that two commission merchants, the brothers Joseph and John Lonardo, “supposedly well-to-do,” were shot and killed from ambush in a barber shop the night before.

The headline is garbled in the OCR and is given here as it reads on the scan. The item adds nothing to the other wire versions of the same day beyond confirming the report.
