A record of the Federal Bureau of Investigation released under FOIA through the FBI Vault. A work of the United States government, public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105.

The Vault’s file on James Licavoli has five parts; this archive read the first 400 pages of Part 01 through the viewer’s OCR and checked its opening pages against the scans. The first scan is a deleted-page sheet listing twenty pages withheld for referral or consultation.

The second scan is an FBI airtel dated 6/19/59 from the SAC at Detroit to the Director, captioned “JAMES LICAVOLI, aka Jack White, Pete Corso, Sam Corso, James Licavola, James Licavolo, James White.” It notes that “JAMES LICAVOLI in interview with Cleveland Agents 7/31/50 listed a brother, JOHN, age 48, employed by Triangle Enterprises, Inc., Warren, Ohio,” and goes on to Detroit newspaper items about John Licavoli. Later pages in the part read include Cleveland reports captioned “Anti-Racketeering” from 1961 that trace Licavoli’s history in Detroit, Toledo and Cleveland and name associates.

The OCR of the later reports is rough, and the passages in them were not checked against the scans, so this page does not quote them. The scan of the 1959 airtel prints private addresses and is not stored here. Parts 02 to 05 have not been opened.
