Among the early-1950s serials is a Justice Department release dated Friday, December 19, 1952, announcing that Attorney General James P. McGranery had directed that a petition be filed to cancel Lansky’s naturalization. United States Attorney Myles J. Lane is named in the file.

Lansky is not placed in any family by a record opened for this section. He is filed here because the Luciano file records his visit to Luciano at Ellis Island in 1946 with Frank Costello, and because he testified in the Kefauver New York hearings.
