A report of the U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations, republished by the National Archives. A work of the United States Congress, public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105.

At p. 153 the House Select Committee on Assassinations states that on 6 June 1959 Santos Trafficante and others who controlled extensive gambling interests in Cuba were detained in a Castro government policy that would lead to the confiscation of underworld holdings, and held at Trescornia, “a minimum security detention camp.” According to documents supplied by the Cuban government, Trafficante was released on 18 August 1959. At p. 154 the report quotes his public testimony that he did not remember Jack Ruby visiting him there.

The committee itself says the importance of any Ruby-Trafficante meeting “should not be overemphasized.” The report does not say where the camp was; the archive’s map pin for it is a Havana centroid only.
