Abe Allenberg, a Miami Beach hotel operator, testified at Miami on 27 May 1950; his testimony runs pp. 89-125 of Part 1 and the Lansky passage is at pp. 97-98. Shown a photograph, he answered “That is Meyer Lansky,” and counsel Rudolph Halley marked it as Exhibit No. 51. Allenberg said he understood Lansky’s interest to be in the Colonial Inn or gambling places in Broward County, that he never spoke to him about it, and that Lansky stayed at the Wofford Hotel occasionally. A photograph of Vincent Alo, called “Jimmy Blue Eyes,” followed as the next exhibit.

Allenberg’s statements about Lansky are limited to what he was “led to believe.” The OCR prints the exhibit number as both 51 and 61; counsel’s words are “exhibit No. 51,” and the schedule of exhibits should be consulted for the number.
