The mandate of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit to the judges of the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, in The United States of America v. Alphonse Capone, Nos. 22852 and 23232 consolidated, with his aliases listed. It recites that a judgment was entered on October 24, 1931, and returns the case after the appeal.

A handwritten note at the top reads, in part, “Commitment issued … & supersedeas vacated.” The note is only partly legible on the page image the research read.

The decision it transmits is Capone v. United States, 56 F.2d 927, decided 27 February 1932, which affirmed the judgment. Rehearing was denied on 23 March 1932.
