On the record

  • 7 June 1954 — Stardust, Inc. v. SEC, 225 F.2d 255 (9th Cir. 1955): the SEC's order says that "During the period from about June 7, 1954 to the present, Stardust, Inc., and Anthony Cornero Stralla have offered, sold and delivered" shares of its preferred and common stock. The petition says subpoenas were served "upon Anthony Cornero Stralla, President, Secretary and Treasurer."
  • 1950 — Before the Kefauver Committee, a former revenue official testified "I checked all the gambling ships, Tony Cornero's gambling ships, the Lux and the Rex, and all those people years ago" (Part 10, p. 336), and the Los Angeles County district attorney testified that "there have been no gambling ships since Tony Cornero made his last attempt to operate" (p. 140).

This page is limited to the records cited. The opinion names him as Anthony Cornero Stralla. It states the SEC’s allegations and the petition, and it does not decide them. It does not say that Stardust, Inc. was a casino or that it was in Las Vegas, so this page does not link him to the Stardust Hotel. The testimony before the Kefauver Committee that mentions “Tony Cornero’s gambling ships” is not used as a statement about him beyond that phrase. No family or rank is stated for him in any record opened for this page.
