A record of the Federal Bureau of Investigation released under FOIA. A work of the United States government, public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105.

Part 02 opens with a deleted-page sheet. It then holds a New Orleans office airtel of 3 October 1966 sending movie film of Marcello for processing before a hearing set for 7 October 1966, a report dated 10 January 1967 captioned “Carlos Joseph Marcello … Assaulting a Federal Officer” (the victim is named as Special Agent Patrick J. Collins, Jr.; Bureau file 89-1333, field file 89-79), and later racketeering-investigation material, including a New Orleans report on subpoenaed bank records of Marcello, relatives and related businesses (field file 183-158).

The report notes that Marcello’s attorney was going to request a change of venue. The pages filed here give no outcome of the 1966-67 matter. A memo that appears to be dated 27 June 1972 near a wiretap authorization is not used because the OCR is unreliable. The file number 89-1333 is printed as “89?-1333” in places. This record rests on the Vault viewer’s OCR text layer; the page image of viewer page 200, the airtel of 3 October 1966, is now stored here. The OCR is poor on stamps and handwriting and many names are redacted.
