Rights
A record of the Federal Bureau of Investigation released under FOIA; the Bureau's compilation is a work of the United States government, public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105. The newspaper clippings inside it are third-party publications whose rights are not established, and none is reproduced or quoted here.

The Vault titles this part “Louis (Lepke) Buchalter Part 04 (Final).” It has 50 scanned pages, read through the viewer’s OCR. The cover sheet for Bufile 60-1501, Sub A Section 13, is at page 41.

Almost every page is a newspaper clipping that the Bureau collected in August 1939, among them items from The Atlanta Journal of August 8, 1939 and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. As far as the OCR can be read, they report the federal grand jury opened in New York to investigate racketeering and the combined city and federal reward for Buchalter; later clippings concern Shapiro.

This page records that the Bureau kept these clippings. It does not take any statement from them, and the OCR of the clippings is very noisy.
