Records of the Federal Bureau of Investigation released under the Freedom of Information Act. A federal work, public domain in the United States under 17 U.S.C. § 105. Redactions are as released by the FBI. Newspaper clippings filed inside FBI files are third-party material and are not covered by this basis.

The Vault viewer shows 100 pages from the FBI’s Boston Division. Most are FD-302 reports and continuation sheets from Boston files read in the OCR as 281A-BS-66111 and 183B-1528. The majority are dated 1989 and record physical surveillance of Francis P. Salemme and others; there are deleted-page information sheets, surveillance reports that appear to date from May to August 1993, and a report that appears to date from September 1994.

The names of other people are largely redacted, and the OCR is poor in places. This archive read the file through the viewer’s text layer; the page images were not stored. The file numbers are given as the OCR reads them and are not entered as identifiers.

The reports are records of where agents saw the subject. They do not state charges. The court record of the 1995 indictment is in 91 F. Supp. 2d 141.
