Exhibit No. 108 is printed at page 740 of Part 1. It is the first of three charts that Daniel P. Sullivan, of the Crime Commission of Greater Miami, presented on July 13, 1950. The chairman asked that “this chart and the succeeding charts” be marked as exhibits 108, 109 and 110 to his testimony (printed page 154). The contents list it as a “Chart furnished by Daniel P. Sullivan.” The image stored here is the exhibit, cut from the printed page; the top of the page carries the end of a grand jury report and a newspaper item filed as Exhibit 107, which are not reproduced.
The chart is headed “Gambling, Broward County.” Three boxes at the top are labelled Club Boheme, Colonial Inn and Club Greenacres. Under the Colonial Inn it lists names with cities, among them Jake Lansky, Meyer Lansky, Joseph A. Doto “@ Joe Adonis,” Vincent Alo, Frank Erickson, Bert Briggs, Claude Litteral and Samuel L. Bratt. A box headed “New Orleans” names the Louisiana Mint Co. Further boxes are headed “Dade County” and “Palm Beach County,” naming the Roney Plaza, Wofford and Boulevard hotels, Club Collins, the Island Club and the Boca Raton Club. Sullivan told the committee that the chart “is generally concerned with the major gambling operations in Broward County” and “shows certain points of gambling operations in Palm Beach and Dade Counties.”
This is a hearing exhibit. The names, ranks and relationships printed on it are the labels of a chart furnished to the committee by the Crime Commission of Greater Miami, a private body. They are not findings of the committee or of a court, and this archive does not copy any of them onto a family page or a person page.
