Exhibit No. 109 is printed at page 741 of Part 1. It is the second of the three charts Daniel P. Sullivan, of the Crime Commission of Greater Miami, presented on July 13, 1950 (marked at printed page 154). A handwritten “Exhibit No. 109” is visible on the drawing itself.
The map is headed “Wire Service.” It shows Hallendale Beach Road and U.S. Federal Highway No. 1, a box labelled “Headquarters and meeting place of N.Y.C. syndicate” around “The Farm,” the Gulfstream race track, the Colonial Inn, Club Boheme, and Club Greenacres with the words “Money craps, Joe Massei, W. G. Bischoff, Lefty Clark.” Lines run south across the Broward County and Dade County line to the Graham Press, to “Dade County newsdealers,” and to “voice broadcasts” over the City of Miami. Sullivan said of the Graham Press that it “is not to my knowledge a bookmaking operation; it was merely one outlet.” The street address the map prints for it is not carried onto this archive’s map.
This is a hearing exhibit. The names, ranks and relationships printed on it are the labels of a chart furnished to the committee by the Crime Commission of Greater Miami, a private body. They are not findings of the committee or of a court, and this archive does not copy any of them onto a family page or a person page.
