Exhibit No. 63 is printed at page 1410 of Part 5. On December 19, 1950, Lieutenant Butler of the Dallas police vice squad was shown the photograph and said: “That is Manno in the center.” He said it was “made by the Department of Public Safety photographer,” and identified “the one on Manno’s right” as Paul Jones; of the third man he said, “I know that is Jack Knapp but I couldn’t identify him from this picture” (printed page 1184). The contents describe it as taken in Dallas after a conversation “which was recorded by technician from Dallas district attorney’s office.”
The printed caption reads: “Pat Manno, alias Manning, Paul Jones, and Jack Knapp leaving residence of Sheriff Steve Guthrie, Dallas, Tex.” The three men are seen from behind. The image stored here is the photograph and caption, cut from the printed page; Exhibit 65, printed below, is not reproduced. The record names the sheriff’s residence but gives no street, and none is added here.
This is a hearing exhibit. The identifications are the witness’s, and Butler said he could not identify the third man from the picture. They are not findings of the committee or of a court, and nothing on it is copied to a family page or a person page.
