Exhibit No. 69 is printed at pages 1416 and 1417 of Part 5; the image stored here is page 1416. On January 5, 1951, chief counsel Rudolph Halley described two checks drawn on the Miami Beach First National Bank, one numbered 2701, and said the endorsement “purports to be, on each one, ‘Anthony J. Accardo,’” with a stamped endorsement “For deposit only, John Rybovich & Son Boat Works.” The chairman had them made exhibits (printed page 1325). The contents describe them as “Photostats of two checks, each in the amount of $5,000, from the S. & G. Service, dated February 2 and February 9, 1950, payable to the order of Tony Accardo.”

The photostats show the face of each check, printed “S. & G. Service, Miami Beach, Florida,” and its back with the handwritten endorsement and the boat works’ stamp. Asked whether the endorsement was his, Accardo refused to answer. The record shows the checks and counsel’s description; it does not contain a finding about why they were drawn.

This is a hearing exhibit. The names on it are what the checks bear, not findings of the committee or of a court, and nothing on it is copied to a family page or a person page.
