Alex Greenberg testified on 19 January 1951 (Part 5, pp. 1343-1371), questioned by associate counsel George S. Robinson.

He said his acquaintance with Frank Nitti began when Nitti was his barber, that the two had loaned each other money, and that Nitti had set up a trust fund for Nitti’s son in Greenberg’s name. He said (p. 1349) that he owed the Nitti estate about $100,000 “at the time of Mr. Nitti’s death.” He denied ever being in business with Nitti, and he identified Dr. Gaetano Rocco as Nitti’s father-in-law.

The witness’s account, not a finding. The transcript gives no date for Nitti’s death. Quotations follow the Internet Archive’s OCR of the printed volume. Page numbers are the printed running heads and can be off by one near a page break.
