Rights
A work of the United States Senate, printed by the Government Printing Office. Public domain in the United States. 17 U.S.C. § 105. The NCJRS cover sheet records reproduction permission as "Public Domain / U.S. Senate."

Exhibit No. 45 faces printed page 523 of Part 2. It was entered with the testimony of Tampa police witnesses Neil G. Brown and Jack de la Llana on October 15, 1963. It was scanned in six segments, at NCJRS PDF pages 581 to 586. The image stored here is the first segment, PDF page 581.

The chart is headed “The Mafia Org[anization in the] Tampa, Florida [Area].” Two boxes at the top are labelled “New York.” One holds Vincenzo Mangano, “missing since 1951,” and the other Joseph Profaci, “deceased 1962.” Arrows run down to Tampa boxes: Alfonso Diecidue, “deceased 1947,” and Santo Trafficante, “deceased 1954.” Salvatore Scaglione, “Sam,” is labelled “Elder.” Numbered members follow below, with photographs and codes.

The name in the box labelled “Top Man” is a dark plate that is not legible in this scan (PDF pages 581 and 582). This archive does not fill it from memory. Segments at PDF pages 584 to 586 have been checked only through the text layer. The Tampa testimony has not yet been summarized here.

This is a subcommittee exhibit. The names, ranks and relationships printed on it are the labels of a 1963 police or staff chart. They are not findings of the subcommittee or of a court, and this archive does not copy any of them onto a family page or a person page. The scan is the Bureau of Narcotics library copy of the printed hearings. The fold-out was photographed in overlapping segments, so a name at the edge of one segment may be cut off and repeated on the next.
