- 17 November 1986 — A New York airtel of December 12, 1986 (Vault, p. 292): "On November 17, 1986 Judge Robert W. Sweet USDC SDNY sentenced Bonanno family member James Episcopia aka 'Jimmy Legs' to 5 years incarceration." FBI airtel.
The convictions and sentences above are as the FBI reported them; no court record of them is filed here. The FBI reports call him “a Captain in the Bonanno Family LCN” and “Bonanno family member.” Those are the Bureau’s labels, and they are not used as a role here or on the Bonanno family chart. The reports print his date of birth, which is left out.
