Rights
A work of the United States Senate, printed by the Government Printing Office. Public domain in the United States. 17 U.S.C. § 105. The NCJRS cover sheet records reproduction permission as "Public Domain / U.S. Senate."

Exhibit No. 39 faces printed page 508 of Part 2. It was presented by William L. Duffy of the Chicago police (printed pages 508 to 515). It was scanned in five segments, at NCJRS PDF pages 561 to 565. The image stored here is the first segment, PDF page 561.

The chart is headed “Chicago” over a band labelled “Overall … Bosses” and lieutenants. That band prints Salvatore Momo, alias Sam “Mooney” Giancana; Anthony Accardo, alias “Tony”; Felice DeLucia, alias Paul “The Waiter” Ricca; and Sam Battaglia, alias “Teets,” with others. The top band prints no single “boss” box. The West Side, North Side and other district groups follow. The West Side group includes “Albert Capone alias Albert J. Rayola” and John Capone, alias “Mimi.” Each man has a photograph, an FBI or Chicago police number, and activity codes. Segments at PDF pages 563 to 565 have been checked only through the text layer.

Who led, in the record’s words, is in the statement of Deputy Superintendent Joseph Morris, filed separately. On printed page 513 Duffy confirmed that the Accardo and Giancana of that statement are the men on this chart.

This is a subcommittee exhibit. The names, ranks and relationships printed on it are the labels of a 1963 police or staff chart. They are not findings of the subcommittee or of a court, and this archive does not copy any of them onto a family page or a person page. The scan is the Bureau of Narcotics library copy of the printed hearings. The fold-out was photographed in overlapping segments, so a name at the edge of one segment may be cut off and repeated on the next.
